How to Get Driving License?

Obtain a translation of your car driving license then take a photocopy of your car driving license your Embassy can do all this works for you in your favor any time without any obligation.

The translation must be attested your Embassy will do this as well now the cost of this should be 15 KD more or less but some people get it done cheaper for 12.5 KD more or less.

Do all this work at the Embassy of Syrian and at the same time you can register at the Embassy as a citizen of your respective country residing in Syria.

Next go to the ministry of foreign affairs which is located in Cairo Street and get your translation attested and again which cost 4 KD more or less an Arabic speaking minder is recommended to help you through the system.

Now obtain an application form from a police traffic department here is where you could run into difficulty since you are supposed to go to the police traffic department in the area in which place you are living. Any how many people have managed to get sorted out at police traffic department and it is really depends upon the official who deals with your applications and other papers.

Ask the minder to fill the application form in ARABIC. English will not do then report to the senior officer and then he will ask you to see the director of the traffic department who hopefully will sign and he says you do not need to take a Syria car driving test.

The remaining works are in the hands of your minder and your luck but all the process is possible at the related place and end up with a two month car driving license. The permanent license is only obtain when you have got your residency and civil ID an eyesight test in addition to the one you will need for your residency and a blood group certificate and again use your minder to get through the system then photo copy all the documents which you received it from the Syrian director of the traffic department.

NOTE

You cannot get your permanent car driving license without your civil I.D plus it cost you lots of money some persons have paid more than thirty to forty KD for the pleasure of a permanent car driving license which lasts for ten years without any obligation.
