For getting driving license in Maharashtra first you should apply to learning license. For getting a driving license in Maharashtra
The age of candidate should be above 18 years old for applying driving license
For the commercial vehicle the candidate age should be 20 years and the applying for driving license the minimum qualification 8th pass.
The driving license is mainly two types
Learners license is a restricted license the respecting authority will be given to the applying candidate for learning driving and know about the traffic rules and regulations.

After applying to leaners license RTO department will allow 30 days to learn about traffic symbol and traffic rules. After 30 days RTO department will keep a test of learnerís license after verification of your documents you will have learners test before learners test color, blindness inspection is carried out. The learners test is conducted for limited period. The candidate will pass with 75 percent of marks. They will give a date then the RTO DEPARTMENT will keep driving test. Before all this procedure you should give your required information and required documents. After submitting the required things you are eligible to get driving license in Maharashtra.
Permanent driving license, the applicant should have a valid learnerís license. He can apply after 30 days & within 180 days from the date of issuance of learnerís license
